Refund Policy

Last updated: January 2026

Donations to The Heal Foundation are voluntary contributions made to support our charitable work. As a general rule donations are non-refundable, because funds are committed to verified cases and programmes shortly after they are received. We do however recognise that genuine errors happen, and have a fair process to deal with them.

1. When a refund may be considered

  • Duplicate transaction: the same donor accidentally pays twice for the same intent within a short window.
  • Incorrect amount: a clearly larger amount than intended (for example a missing decimal) was charged.
  • Unauthorised payment: payment made without the consent of the cardholder/account holder, supported by a written declaration.
  • Failed transaction wrongly debited: bank-side failure where money was deducted but no donation was recorded on our side.

2. How to request a refund

Write to info@thehealfoundation.in within 7 days of the transaction. Include:

  • Donor name, email and phone used for the donation
  • Date and amount of the transaction
  • UPI / UTR / payment reference number
  • A short note explaining the reason

3. Our review

We respond within 3 working days and, where the request is valid, refund within 7–10 working days to the original payment method. Bank charges (if any) may be deducted at cost.

4. After 80G receipt issued

If an 80G receipt has already been issued, the refunded amount is reversed in our records and a cancellation/correction note is shared. You should not claim a tax deduction for an amount that has been refunded.

5. Monthly giving

For monthly Healers, you can stop future debits at any time by writing to us — we will cancel the next debit immediately. Past contributions are non-refundable as they have already been deployed.
