Stop Child Trafficking

Our Work

Stop Child Trafficking

Every child deserves a safe home, a safe school and a safe street. Our work helps protect children from trafficking and helps survivors rebuild their lives.

Child trafficking thrives where poverty meets silence. Children are taken from villages with promises of work in cities, sold into domestic servitude, forced into labour or worse — often without their families ever understanding what happened.

Our role is to make this invisible crime visible. We focus on prevention in high-risk communities, support rescue operations led by authorities and partner NGOs, and help survivors rebuild a life of dignity.

We do not work alone — this is one area where partnership with police, child welfare committees, schools and shelter homes is essential. Our value is on the ground: the volunteer who notices a missing child, the parent who learns to ask the right questions before sending their child away to work.

The Reality

Why this matters

False promises

Children are lured with offers of jobs, education or marriage and end up in exploitative situations from which they cannot leave.

Vulnerable families

Loss of income, single-parent homes, migration and natural disasters all sharply increase the risk of children being trafficked.

Long road back

Even after rescue, survivors face stigma, trauma and a system that struggles to reintegrate them. Without support, many fall back into harm.

Our Response

What we do

Community awareness

Workshops in schools, slums and migrant communities about how trafficking actually happens — and how families can protect their children.

Identification & referral

Trained volunteers spot children who are missing, isolated or being moved suspiciously, and connect cases to authorities and shelter homes.

Rehabilitation support

Counselling, schooling, vocational training and family-strengthening for rescued children, so the rescue actually leads to a future.

Working with families

Helping families build stable income at home so children no longer have to be sent away in search of work — the most common entry point for traffickers.

Outcomes We Track

What success looks like

  • Communities where parents and teachers can recognise and respond to trafficking risks early.
  • Children identified and reunited with families before harm becomes permanent.
  • Survivors back in school or in safe vocational training, with ongoing emotional support.
  • Stronger links between communities and the formal child protection system.
